First Christian Church Women's Ministry strives to assist women of all ages to have a continually growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Through the study of His word, we strive to grow friendships by living for God, walking in faith, and showing the way. Throughout the year, Women's Ministry has various Bible Studies and events that you can attend!
The Armor of God
All day, every day, an invisible war rages around you. A cunning devilish enemy seeks to wreak havoc on everything that matters to you – your emotions, your mind, your family, your future. We want his reign to stop right here, right now, with you. The enemy always fails miserably when he meets a woman dressed for the occasion. A woman dressed in the Armor of God. Ladies, the Armor of God Bible study will begin on Saturday, March 2nd at 9:00 am and run for 7 weeks. Cost for the book is $17.
Women's Grief Group
It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel.
Grief Share is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. Grief Share will begin meeting on Wednesday, March 13th at 6:30 pm in ABF 2.
New Women's Bible study Begins Wednesday, January 23rd at 9:00am and meets every Wednesday for 6 weeks.
Women are wired to control life's details. Let. It. Go., a six-session video-based study from author and popular speaker Karen Ehman, gives women practical, biblically based steps for letting go of the need to control, dictate, and even manipulate the people and situations around them, and instead, trust that God has their best interests in mind. Books are $20. Call the office to register (217)-246-6445
MomLife is a group for Mothers with a child, or with a child on the way. This group helps develop friendships, strengthens marriages and relationships and draws Moms one step closer to Jesus. A MomLife meeting consists of a small meal, a discussion topic, and the occasional speaker. No need to find a babysitter, you bring your children with you. Kids will go to the children’s area where they will receive a snack, Bible story and playtime. MomLife is a great way to meet other moms and offer support to each other. Better Moms make a better world.
Join us in the Fellowship Hall for any meeting. We meet the first Monday of the month from 9:00 – 11:00 am and the third Monday of the month from 5:30 – 7:30 pm.
