Shane joined the 1C staff in June 2017. He grew up in Central Illinois, and attended Lincoln Christian University. After graduating from Lincoln in 2007, he moved to Oklahoma and began his Ministry career. Shane has served at churches in Oklahoma and Illinois before joining us in Jacksonville. Shane and his beautiful wife Elisabeth have been married since 2008 and they have 3 children, Hudson, Harrison & Holland.

Misty grew up in Jacksonville and has been a part of 1C almost all of her life. She has volunteered in many areas of the church through the years and loves serving people. She enjoys helping others find "their spot" where they enjoy serving in God's kingdom. Misty has been on staff since October 2013. She has been married to her husband Richard since September 2004. They have three wonderful children, Miles, Lola and Lincoln. When she is not working, Misty enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing volleyball, running and gardening. Casie Darnell (like “Casey at the Bat”) joined the 1C team in February 2020 as the Life Groups Pastor and now serves as our Teaching Pastor and Discipleship Pastor. Originally from New Lenox, Illinois, Casie graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2008. In 2013, she married her husband, Joe, and made the move to Jacksonville. Together, they have two fun-loving daughters, Camille and Mila. Casie’s passion for Life Groups began after seeing firsthand how it made such a powerful difference in her own life and relationship with Christ.  “The decision to join a group was one of the best decisions of my life, and one I honestly made every excuse to avoid.  My life was forever changed, and I pray this ministry continues to create spaces where others can experience the same kind of meaningful and life-giving relationships.” When she’s not at 1C, Casie enjoys running, reading, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends.

Katie joined the 1C staff in January 2025 as the Life Group & Assimilation Pastor. She is from Mt. Zion, Illinois and graduated from Illinois College in 2017. Before stepping into her role at 1C, she spent seven years working in college admissions, building strong connections and guiding students through their academic journeys. Katie has been involved at 1C through her volunteer work with the A-Team, 1C Kids, and Middle and High School ministries. She has also served as a Life Group leader for the past few years, where she discovered her passion for fostering meaningful connections and spiritual growth. Katie also met her husband, Jacob, on a mission trip to Oklahoma through 1C!

Nick joined the team in October 2025.  He is passionate about helping people encounter God in real and honest ways through worship. He believes music is a powerful gift that moves us from simply knowing about God to experiencing the truth of who He is on a deeper level. When Nick is not leading worship, he loves staying active, watching or playing sports, finding new coffee spots, and rock climbing with friends.

Cris joined the staff of 1C as the Creative Arts Pastor in August 2025. Before moving to Jacksonville, Cris, his wife Kayla, and their three kids lived in Georgia, where he served as a Worship Pastor for nearly a decade. Cris has a deep passion for worship, creativity, and technology, and he loves helping people encounter God through music, production, and the arts. Outside of ministry, he enjoys traveling, photography, music, flying drones, and playing golf when he can. On Saturdays, you will often catch him watching THE Ohio State Buckeyes. Cris and Kayla are grateful to call Jacksonville home and love spending time with their three kids, whether it’s exploring new places, enjoying family adventures, or simply hanging out together.

Jacob Bellitto has been with 1C since 2022. He began as a volunteer for the youth and started an internship with 1C shortly after. He loves spending time getting to know the students + supporting them in their activities outside of the church. Jacob is a big kid at heart who loves all things sports, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Jesus! As of August ‘23, Jacob serves as the High School Pastor.

Titus Ashford joined 1C in October 2024 as an intern and began serving as the part-time Middle School Pastor in August 2025. He is from Centralia, Illinois, where he grew up in a large family. Titus currently attends Illinois College, pursuing a degree in Finance and stays involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). He loves all sports—especially golf—along with music, and enjoys spending time connecting with people and sharing about Jesus. 

Jessica joined the 1C staff in July 2019. Attended Northern Illinois University and got her undergrad in Early Childhood Education and Illinois College to get a Master's in Education and curriculum. She taught kindergarten in Jacksonville for 8 years before coming to FCC. Her family is Her favorite thing in life! She married Ricky Padilla who is a firefighter in Jacksonville and they have three awesome kids, Logann, Bailey, and Cruz. She coaches JHS softball in her spare time and she loves helping and being involved in kids' lives in the community. 

Joined the 1C team in September of 2020 as the Children’s Pastor. She grew up in New Berlin, IL and graduated college from Mac Murray with a degree in Education. In 2009 she married her husband Curt Rueter. They have two loving and outgoing girls, Jaidyn and Kynlee. Alaina first started volunteering in the children's area with First Christain Church back in 2008, and has loved it ever since. She has a passion for working with kids and spreading God’s word! In her spare time she enjoys exercising, traveling, and being around friends and family.

Terri and her husband, John, have been members of FCC since 2004. She first worked as the Office Manager for First Christian Church from 2003 – 2008 until a move with her family out of Jacksonville led her to take a position elsewhere. While she was away, Terri missed the church. In November of 2010 she was thrilled to rejoin the staff. Terri enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time with her grand kids. Terri and John have been married since 2004. They have three grown children, James, Jason, and Megan, and four grandchildren.

Heather grew up in Jacksonville and is married to Justin Kleinschmidt.  She has served in several different roles at 1C. In one of Heather’s earlier positions, she served as the children’s minister & director of an after school & summer children’s program she developed called, The Sunshine Center. Heather stepped away from ministry but came back in 2022 to1C from Perma Bound in Jacksonville where she was a Sales Coordinator and worked for 14 years.  Heather has two grown children, Ashton and Titus who are members at 1C.  In her spare time, Heather enjoys playing & watching Volleyball, NFL Football, time with Family & Friends as well as her two fur babies,
